second round of auction for some players who were not offered in the first round is to take place on March 11. Some English players who have evinced a keen interest in the IPL are also likely to be offered in the auction. In the initial round no English cricket was on the auction block. This was because of an agreement between ECB and BCCI as the English cricket season coincides with the IPL and they did not want any conflict of interest between the two.
The auction will be open only those teams which have money left for buying players like the IPL Jaipur team that spent less than the minimum $3.5 million dollars.
